Feeding advice

  • If possible always feed at set times in the morning and in the evening.
  • Always add a good quality hay .
  • Fresh and clean water should always be available, preferably in a water bottle with nipple.
  • Feed moderately under changing circumstances (shows, moving) to prevent intestine disorder.
  • Offering a different type of food should always be done gradually.
  • The largest quantity of food should be given late in the afternoon because rodents are more active at night.

For undisturbed rearing of rabbits from the age of 2 – 3 weeks till approx. 12 – 14 weeks the Cuni 100 rearing pellet is recommended. Due to the high quality and well digestible nutrients the animals grow faster at a lower food intake when feeding Cuni 100.

Contains Faunabiobalance and a coccidiostaticum for the most frequently occuring forms of coccidiose in rabbits. The death rate during the weaning period is lower.

For adult rabbits a choice can be made  from a variety of feed, depending on the performance. There is a maintenance pellet, but also a sports pellet in order to achieve optimal breeding results. And of course, pregnant and nursing rabbits need extra protein, vitamins and energy; the Rabbit pellet Breeder is composed to meet these requirements. The Rabbit pellet Sport contains a coccidiostaticum against the most common types of coccidiose with rabbits.

For guinea pigs there is also a pellet as well as muesli available. All essential nutrients are present in the concentrate, as the animals are to a large extent dependent on this feed. Guinea pigs are allowed to eat limitless and so you may offer concentrate and hay in the cage permanently. Hay is essential for a proper digestion because of the crude fibre.

Guinea pigs have their own food requirements especially for vitamin C.
Kasper Faunafood guinea pig pellet contains 2000 mg/kg vitamin C which is amply sufficient to meet their demands. Breeding animals in particular need a lot of vitamin C. Kasper Faunafood guinea pig pellets are used by many breeders with excellent results. Guinea pig muesli is a rich and tasteful mixture of whole and extruded grains, seeds and vegetables, supplemented with vitamin- and mineral pellets. Guinea pig muesli is a very palatable and complementary feed to be used together with the Kasper Faunafood guinea pig pellet.
